Homeless friends...

Our mom is always telling us how we are so lucky because there are so many homeless dogs (and cats) out there.  She works with a few rescues trying to find homes for these dogs.  She's actually the Vice President of Tri-State Weimaraner Rescue and their placement coordinator.  She says its lots of fun to be a part of finding a dog their forever home.  Another thing she does is offers to take portraits of adoptable dogs for other rescues so they can have a nice photo of themself to put on petfinder.  She asked if we would mind sharing some of the photos she took of adoptable dogs from the Burlington County Animal Alliance last weekend.  We figured it was ok to share our spotlight.

Isnt it so sad that these doggies don't have a place to call home?  Some are lucky and in foster homes but others have to stay in kennels :(.

Mom said shes going to be taking pictures of more of the Burlington County Animal Alliance dogs in the next couple of weeks.  She also is going to be taking pictures for the local shelters starting in Sept.  Mom said she is thinking abotu starting her own blog just to share her rescue stories.  I think thats a good idea...than she wouldnt have to steal a spot on our blog!

I'm a model if you know what I mean...

Mom said I (Grayce) had to be a model for her tonight.  I wasnt sure what that meant but than she put some really funny (and itchy!) stuff on me and kept waving treats in my face and asking me to sit, stay, and wait.  I tried to be patient. Danger kept trying to get in the way and stealing my treats.  Mom said he isnt a very good model bc he doesnt sit or stay..he just steals treats.

Mom was practicing with some of her new photo props she got for when she takes pictures of homeless doggies.  She does portraits of doggies that need a new home.  She takes their picture to post on petfinder- and says pretty/handsome pictures hopefully will help them find a home faster.

Here are some of my modeling shots:
I feel pretty..o so pretty...

Do you like my tutu?
ok mom...are we done yet?
Danger wants to model too

So what do you think?  Could I get a modeling contract?

SOOOO excited!

We just found out that tomorrow night we are going to get to go play and have a BBQ at our other favorite place- Ironwood!  It's where mom works and there is this HUUUUUUGE fenced in area with a big swimming pool.  Since mom works there we are so lucky and get to go run, play and swim there after hours.  The best part is Danger gets to run too since its all fenced in.

A lot of times we get to play with other friends there too.  I think our friends Chase, Dublin and Kruk. We've been playing at the pool with them a lot this summer bc they all love to swim too.

Danger prefers to dig a nice big hole and sit in it to cool off.

Maybe Maddy the Puggle can come tomorrow and play too???  We cant wait to see all our friends!!!

Freedom Park...our favorite!

Grayce here to tell you about our favorite plac...Freedom Park is the best ever!!  It's a really cool place where there are always a bunch of dogs playing, a creek to swim in, fields to run in, and even some stuff that my mom calls "agility" equipment.  Almost everytime we go we get to see our grandma and grandpa, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Melissa, and cousin Maddy the Puggle.

Here are some photos from our visit to Freedom Park this week.

Running and playing with sticks (check out my new backpack that holds my water!)

Me and my cousin Maddy getting all muddy :)  We are best buds.

We splash in a big puddle too

Danger had fun too but he preferred to hang in the shade with the grandparents.  He's always complaining its too hot on his black fur.

Grandpa and Grandma are the best!  They always like to hang out with us and spoil us with lots of treats.

Danger might be right...it was a bit hot out.  I hang under the trees when I get too hot.

Grandma made sure all of us drank plenty of water

Don't you like my funny faces?

Freedom park is always lots of fun.  We all went home and took very long naps after all of our fun.

I guess we should give this a try...

Our mommy LOVES to take photos of us and all of our adventures.  Shes always posting us on this place called facebook but we think it might be nice to have a blog all of our own just like our cousin Maddy.

We go on lots of adventures so we have lots of photos to share.

To start this off we thought we should show off our goofy personalities in these videos of us giving our morning greetings.

I am Grayce a 5 year old weimaraner.  DO NOT tell me I am not human bc I know that I am.  I sleep under the covers with my head on the pillow..sometimes I like to sleep on my back with my feet straight in the air and make a tent for mommy and daddy.  I talk to my mommy and daddy and in the morning I demand belly rubs as you will see in this video.

My name is Danger and I am a 4 year old Greyhound.  My mommy and daddy adopted me 6 months ago after I spent a lot of time racing reallllllly fast with lots of other dogs who looked just like me.  They say I ran in 87 races when I used to live in Florida.  I am really enjoying my retirement and like to relax on the couch but I get REALLY excited in the morning when mommy or daddy come downstairs bc I know its time for food!  I like to "Roo" when Im really happy and  Sometimes I get so excited I cant help myself and I kick mommy or daddy by mistake in my excitement.
